This knot is commonly known as the 'Ocean Plat, Plate, and/or Plait'. It is also referred to as the 'Napoleon Knot'.

This knot is commonly known as the 'Prolonged Knot' because it's length can easily be 'prolonged'. They are commonly employed as stair treads.

This is the smallest/simplest possible design I can make that contains a Celtic cross. A mat this size is too small to be used around most homes. It would be better used on a boat where a smaller mat is required or as a decorative wall hanging.

This is one of the few designs that I call my 'true lover's knot' designs. I see the two loops on the ends as the infinity symbol weaving the two 'pretzel' hearts together as one. I also see the space in the center of the design as a keyhole and so I see this design as two hearts locked together as one for eternity. A mat this size is too small to be used around most homes. It would be better used on a boat where a smaller mat is required or as a decorative wall hanging.

Like the preceeding design, I also see this mat as one of my 'true lover's knot' design. Instead of 'pretzel hearts this design has pointed hearts and does not contain the 'keyhole'. This is one of the earlier design that I came up with. It was an attempt at a Celtic cross in a Hexagon mat. I am not completely satisfied with this design. I prefer the last and next designs.

This is a very old picture of a mat I did about three years ago. If I were to weave another mat like this, the cross would be more open. This is a good size mat for the front door of most homes.
